Query regarding support for Netica BN format

Post by annn »

Dear Genie forum,

In the past I have mainly used Netica, but am now trying to learn to use GeNIe.

I want to import Netica format BNs.

Q1. It seems only .dne, not the .neta format is supported, is that right?

Q2. What version of Netica format works? I ask before I tried to import a Netica file that caused problems for GeNIe. (I attach the file in question).

Thanks,
Ann

A1. Correct, .neta is a binary format and not supported.

A2. I don't know exactly, but at least the basics should work. I don't see the file you attached, so can you re-attach it or send it in a personal message?

Here is the example Netica BN that caused problems. I think it is because this BN has continuous nodes (which Netica makes discrete anyway). I am getting Genie messages about the node type not being supported. Any way this can be fixed, or is there a work around? The reason the cts node is useful in Netica is that you can specify the CPT using equations, based on the values of the cts parent node...

cheers,
Ann

There's no attachment - make sure you click 'Add attachment' button after you selected the file with 'Browse...'.
