Influence Diagrams in dynamic networks?

Post by adam »

Hi,

I'm trying to use utility nodes in the temporal plate and it looks like GeNIe allows me to put a utility node without any complaints. Running inference seems to work ok.

But when I try to open the Value tab in the node properties for a utility node, GeNIe disappears from the screen, just like that.

Is it a bug, or GeNIe does not support the influence diagrams in the temporal plate?

You recreate it by putting a utility node in an empty temporal plate, run inference and try to access the value tab.

Cheers,
Adam

Dynamic IDs are not supported at this point. GeNIe shouldn't allow the creation of utility nodes in temporal plate, so in fact you've found the bug :)

Hi, this is Alessandro.

I'm having the same problem with Dynamic IDs.
So I think they are not supported yet. Am I right?

Moreover, this thread is about GeNIe, but I assume the SMILE engine lacks this feature as well. Is this true?

Thank you.
