Is it possible to explicitly include a noisy-add (noisy-min) chance node as a choice?
The negation of noisy-or gate is not very intuitive to the audience during expert elicitation (sometime me myself got messed up when there is a heated debate). It also presents awkwardly e.g. states being upside-down.
At least in the field I'm studying, the AND relationship among parent variables is quite common. An explicit noisy-And gate would be a great convenience. Presumably this is not a daunting task (?).
In passing just wish to know whether Q-GeNIe will be released in the near future?

I have to admit that over time I have grown to develop the same feeling about the Noisy-MAX gate as you did. Even though Noisy-MAX with negation allows for implementing Noisy-MIN, it would be better to have a separate entry point/GUI choice for Noisy-AND (and Noisy-MIN as a generalization to multiple states). It is now a matter of priorities for us but this will be coming, so please stay tuned!
QGeNIe will be coming as a product soon, quite likely early next year.
