User-defined PDF function

Post by charlie » Tue Feb 05, 2019 5:19 am

Hi Administrator

I got a problem with the self-defined probability distribution function - CustomPDF in using the equation node.

Please see attached two sample nodes, one defined as a uniform distribution, the other a quite evenly spaced uni-model distribution. However the displayed pattern is very confusing - the first node not only displays a non-uniform distribution but also show a large empty space in the middle. The 2nd node also shows a large empty space in the middle which is not featured in the original data to define the PDF.

Could you help with that?

Thanks

Charlie

The CustomPDF function requires the x coordinates (the first half of function arguments) to be in increasing order. Your equations have descreasing x ordering.

BTW, please check your private message inbox on this forum.
