Re: max sensitivity Genie 2.4
Thank you. And, when I look at the sensitivity to my target node, I see that it is not sensitive to anything (most boxes are grey). Meanwhile, if I move upstream to those target node's parents as target of my SA, I do notice the target node is sensitive to some parameters. Is that a normal occurrenc...

max sensitivity Genie 2.4
Hi there,
When doing a SA and hovering over a node's tornado icon, I can see a box showing the sensitivity (max, minx, avg). I was wondering 1
) for which node state is genie showing the sensitivity in this case?
2) how is sensitivity max calculated?
Many thanks and best wishes,
Camilla

rSMILE ErrNo=-5
Hi there, I'm working on a hybrid BBN and I'm getting this error with rSMILE: Error in net$updateBeliefs() : RSmile error occured SMILE Error Occured in: Network.UpdateBeliefs ErrNo=-5 prior to calling net$updateBeliefs() I'm updating the equation of a node. Any suggestions on what might have caused...

printNodeInfo rSMILE on hybrid BBNs?
Hi there, my colleague and I were looking at Tutorial 3 and the printNodeInfo function. We tested the rSMILE code and now we wanted to perform a similar operation with a hybrid BBN. We tested the code with two different HBNs and the R session got aborted multiple times. Keep in mind I'm fairly new t...

Re: rSMILE Network$clearEvidence
Hi piotr, I'm not sure I can share the network, however, it was something like this ```{r} net$getNodeDefinition("mychance_node") net$setEvidence("mychance_node", "present") net$getNodeValue("mychance_node") # this shows that in the line above we've set the ev...

rSMILE Network$clearEvidence
Hi,
I am having trouble using the clearEvidence function. I was wondering: does it work on all kinds of nodes? It does not seem to work for chance nodes in my case.
Thanks,
CN

Re: How can I better constrain distributions with extremely long tails?
Dear Marek, you're understanding my question completely, and I have also discussed with colleagues rejecting invalid samples as a solution. But what if I move my network to another tool (not Genie) and I cannot reject my samples? Also, I struggle to determine whether I'd loose information that way. ...

How can I better constrain distributions with extremely long tails?
I have a few nodes with extremely long tails, which (I am guessing) leads to getting the errors "Discretization problem" etc, which means I have lots of overflow samples. I understand that a potential solution could be to reject the invalid samples, However, what if I want to have a more &...

export hybrid network to .net
Hi,
I am new to Genie and I am trying to export a hybrid network as a *.net file but when I do Genie crashes, any idea why? I am using genie 2.4 for your information.
Many thanks.
