Dear Shooltz,
Thanks for your help. You are right. The problem was my integer columns. It works now.
Cheers,
Ed

Learn New Network... Method... continuous data only?
Hi, I am trying to use Data->Learn New Network with a datafile that has only numeric data (some columns are integers, while others are floats). In the tutorial #15 under Learning Structure it says: "Note that if the data set contains continuous variables they will need to be discretized for som...

Dear Marek, Thanks so much for your help. I'm working on constructing a BN (influence diagram) to determine when to interrupt a user as s/he is doing a computer based task. I've attached the BN. It is 100% based on expert knowledge at this time. If you could point me to some resources that validate ...

Validation + Verification BN
hi,
I've constructed a BN using GeNIe and I'm looking for an "accepted" approach on validating the network that I have designed.
Would you happen to know of a tool (or technique or method) that explains the way in which one validates a BN?
Thanks in advance,
Ed Sykes

Real-time Decision Making
hi, I am interested in using SMILE for assisting in making real-time decisions. That is, can the influence diagram be updated at a "real-time" rate so that the decision making can be done in real-time? OR is it necessary to augment SMILE with other components such as Hidden Markov Model, e...

new to Smile
hi,
I am new to Smile, though I have used GeNIe for a project....
I am hoping to integrate Smile with a C++ project....
Is there a "Getting Started" document available for Smile ?
Thanks,
Ed Sykes
