Dear Marek,
Thanks very much for your detailed response. I have looked up "parent divorcing" and have a better idea of how to reduce the complexity of muli-parent nodes.
But I have a general question about Bayesian complexity/scalability - are there any papers, books on this topic that you would ...

Smile Diagnosis
Hello
I had gotten the diagnostic feature working using Smile .net wrapper(similar to how it works in Genie).
I have upgraded to the latest Smile.net version (Jul 2007) and for some reason the diagnostic value is not calculated (shows as "-1"). The probabilities for target faults works fine.
BTW ...

Confidence in model
(This question was asked/answered before on the old forum and pity it is not accessible. Apologies for not storing the response)
How do I estimate the confidence in a dataset on which my model is trained? I believe the answer was that using EM I can assign a confidence level to datasets but that ...

Getting exact Value from outcomes
Hello,
I have a very basic question about a posteriori inference. Once evidence has propagated is it correct to take the weighted average of the mean values of the individual outcomes to get an exact value? Instead of the MAP value.
For example, if I had
s_10_20 (15)
s_20_30 (25)
s_30_40 (35 ...
