This is an implementation of the interchange format described at https://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/user/fgcozman/www/Research/InterchangeFormat/. The file extension used for XMLBIF recognized by GeNIe is .bif, but files in this format often have a generic .xml extension.
