Re: Error message opening .xdsl file
Ok, that is good to hear then. Do you think I can perhaps have bugged by manually changing the file's name instead of using the save as command within GeNIe's GUI?

Re: Error message opening .xdsl file
Using Terminal on mac I get this. Does not look too good I'm afraid.. Do you think it is due to UNIX instead of NT? Perhaps the email/wetransfer is a better option? head -30 PriorModel.xdsl bookmark88Xrs/T2wYb?6?Aopbo<Users TimoBreureDropbox GeNIe Files23-01-2017 PriorModel.xdsl 4D ??CHevR????A?/?? ...

Error message opening .xdsl file
Hi there, While trying to open a GeNIe file, I got the following message "Error at 1, 4 while loading C:\Users\Eigenaar\Dropbox\Compleet\GeNIe Netwerken\23-01-2017 PriorModel.xdsl: not well-formed (invalid token)" I was wondering whether you have experience with this and what I could do to...

Re: The effect of fixed nodes in EM
Also, half of these particular nodes do not have parent nodes, in case that makes a difference.

Re: The effect of fixed nodes in EM
To make it more clear what I refer to an excerpt from an article (that I alas did not note down the original source): "In spite that it is tempting to think that the probability of certain variablesis changing according to new data/information, however, itis not the probability of a certain var...

Re: The effect of fixed nodes in EM
Actually one more question came up. That is the following. I have noticed that after the learning of the network with the three previous datafiles, the node distributions were not very sensitive to changes when multiple nodes were set as evidence and thus a certain scenario was simulated. I figured ...

Re: The effect of fixed nodes in EM
Dear Marek, Thanks for your reaction. Indeed I might have been overthinking on the effect of fixed nodes. Although, I had one minor question on the subject; what is the difference in effects when these nodes are not within the dataset? Too put it simply; if i do not fix them their value changes. Doe...

The effect of fixed nodes in EM
Dear reader, I had a question that came up while learning my network with the EM algorithm. First a small description of my case study: I have three different datasets of 312, 2184 and 1248 observations. I want to learn these with equal value/strength in the network and thus set the confidence param...
